Biometric Data Privacy Policy

1. Purpose

SafeSiteUSA uses biometric identifiers and biometric information ("biometric data") as part of our security, workforce management, and facility access systems. This policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and retain biometric data in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.

 

2. Definitions

• Biometric identifiers include a retina or iris scan, fingerprint, voiceprint, or scan of hand or face geometry.

• Biometric information means any information based on biometric identifiers that is used to identify an individual.

 

3. Collection of Biometric Data

We may collect biometric data from employees, contractors, or authorized facility visitors for:

• Physical access to restricted or secured areas

• Identity verification

• Time and attendance tracking

Biometric data is collected only after providing written notice and obtaining written consent, where required by law.

 

4. Use of Biometric Data

Biometric data is used strictly for the purposes disclosed at the time of collection, including but not limited to:

• Enhancing building and personnel security

• Streamlining employee check-in/out processes

• Compliance with industry or client security standards

 

5. Data Storage & Protection

Biometric data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access control. We do not sell, lease, or trade biometric data. Access is restricted to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need.

 

6. Disclosure & Sharing

Biometric data will not be disclosed to any third party unless:

• Required by law, warrant, or subpoena

• Consent has been provided

• The third party is a trusted service provider and has entered into a written agreement with SafeSiteUSA ensuring compliance with this policy

 

7. Retention & Destruction

Biometric data is retained only as long as needed to fulfill its purpose, or up to 3 years following the individual's last interaction with SafeSiteUSA, unless otherwise required by law. Thereafter, it is permanently deleted in a secure manner.

 

8. Individual Rights

Individuals may request to:

• Review what biometric data we hold about them

• Revoke consent at any time

• Request deletion of their biometric data
